Program for young leaders
The Aspen Young Leaders Program (AYLP) is designed for emerging leaders (aged 25–40) from Central Europe, in various professions such as politics, business, public administration, non-profit, the arts or sports. The Program’s main goal is to encourage its participants to reflect on the fundamental qualities that make a successful leader in today’s world. It also aims to help young Central Europeans network and discuss issues critical for society’s development.
Participation in AYLP helped me to calm down. I gained perspective and learned to prioritize better. Thanks to that, I am more focused at my work and I feel stronger than before. – Mimi Hoang Lan Nguyen
Inspirational, disruptive or deep-diving workshops, moderated discussions and keynotes give the participants the opportunity to explore the challenges and conflicts that leaders must face in deciding policies and strategies for their organizations, communities and themselves.
Step away from daily routine, reflect underlying societal values
Taking place in the remote reaches of the Central Europe, the Program is consistent with the basic Aspen idea to step away from daily routine and reflect on underlying societal values. It offers various formal and informal activities to create an environment conducive to sharing ideas, learning and networking. The agenda includes lectures, trainings and case studies as well as leisure activities.
Highly interactive discussions address topics such as—but not limited to—leadership, ethics and personal development. Participants have the chance to meet outstanding professionals.
When I was invited to join Aspen network, it was one of turning points in my life. I learned to know different people with similar struggles, and I imagined better what I want to achieve in my life. –Yemi A.D.
After completing the Program, participants become part of the Aspen Institute alumni network. They are invited to remain engaged in the Institute activities and its development as well as among themselves and they are further supported by the Institute.
